The Good
Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews and Jordan Cameron. They were what carried the team today. Can't blame Tannehill for this one. 359 yards and 2 TDs, he virtually carried the team for 3 quarters. Rishard Matthews and Jarvis Landry put up monster numbers with 225 receiving yards combined. Jordan Cameron continued his good play, although he was a bit quiet in the second half.
That's it for The Good
The Bad
The front 7 was supposed to be a dominant unit. Where is Ndamukong Suh? Is he the next Albert Haynesworth? What has happened to Cameron Wake? He has been invisible. Worst of all, where is Olivier Vernon? In a contract year, all he did was practically lose the game for the Dolphins with a stupid penalty. Can't really blame the linebackers on this one as Jelani Jenkins and Koa Misi both had pretty good games. The Dolphins can't stop the run consistently and the pass rush is completely invisible.
Jamar Taylor - stop getting penalties on critical plays! And Walt Aikens, welcome to the NFL. Double moves happen!
The offensive line is a joke. With Brandon Albert getting injured on every other play, Juwuan James getting a penalty on every other play and Dallas Thomas being Dallas Thomas. Then you have Jason Fox giving up a critical sack late in the game. Yes, he prevented a safety, but he didn't bother blocking Jared Odrick in the first place.
The Ugly
This coaching staff needs to go. From Kevin Coyle continuing to play his soft zone defenses to Bill Lazor's horrible playcalling to Philbin overseeing the whole thing, this coaching staff's days are numbered.
The Dolphins just got another penalty. And another...
Overall
A deplorable effort from this team, losing to the lowly Jaguars. You could have said they played down to the Redskins and dismissed it as an anomoly. Now you have yourself a trend. This defense is an absolute joke. There is no running game. The pass protection is still porous. The only thing this team has going for it is Ryan Tannehill and SOME of the receivers and the tight end. A defense full of Pro Bowlers absolutely SUCKS! Is it the players or the scheme?
The only thing we can hope is this serves as a wake up call. If you play ugly and win, you think you got away with one. If you play ugly and lose, you have to look within yourselves to figure out what the hell happened! They better figure it out fast. This was supposed to be the easy part of the schedule.
